| Music plays a huge role in my work. I actually think of much of my work as music. It contains the freedom of rock, and the improvisation of jazz. | What I hope to do is continue the quest of Modernism. I believe Modernism still has something to offer even in this Post-Modern world. (Or maybe because of it). My influences range from the obvious: Matisse, Kandinsky, Frankenthaler, Motherwell, and de Kooning; to the less obvious: Dylan, The Beatles, Rimbaud, and R.E.M.. |
